**EDIT**

Okay, I do have something to mouth off about.  And, to add a little more of the aforementioned southern belle, Texas slang to this post– it just “cooks my biscuits” or “burns my — well — my butt!”

I’m online, minding my business.  Reading the posts of my Xanga friends, answering a few emails and doing absolutely nothing to solicit anything from any of the nuts that obviously hand out online as well.

No, I do not have a picture.  No, I do not want to share it with you and no, if  I don’t know you, I don’t want to chat — especially if, instead of hello I get “what do you look like.”  Let’s see, I weigh 396 pounds, I’m bald, missing two of my front teeth and have a big, ugly brown mole on the end of my nose. hmmm…wanna chat now??  LOL

So now, with that off my chest … back to my original post:

Do you ever listen to yourself talk sometimes?  I get comments all the time on my supposed Texas accent… I don’t think it’s quite as bad as some say, but listening to my daughter from time to time, I wonder.  She can make a one-syllable word stretch out for days. She has the “Southern Belle” routine down!

Never mind the fact that I may “drawl” a little when I talk or use “y’all” a little too frequently, but I have started listening to some of the things that come out of my mouth.  Okay, someone tell me “fixin to” is a proper verb?  I think I caught myself “fixin to do something” at work a dozen times today.  Good grief, I think I do sound like a hick!!  I think I’ll just chalk it up to my southern charm.  I have decided I may need to hang my degree on the wall to remind myself that yes I do know proper English!!  LOL

But for now, I’m fixin to go finish some housework.  I’m still fighting that neverending battle.  I hope all y’all (that’s more than one y’all) have a great evening.  I’m too tired to come up with anything else to write about.

And, I guess it’s time for another picture of the kiddos:

  1. I love to hear a southern accent!  It is charming!  Much better than a bland, “normal” no accent kind of voice.  I’ve heard my voice on a video recording and it sounds awful!
The pic is cute but your little boy looks upset 😦

  2. I won’t even put my message on the ansering machine because I can hear that drawl!

  3. Cute little ones. I’m a mom of a 3 year old (soon to be 4 in Dec.) We live in New Braunfels. My name is Mimi and I’m just trying to meet new “mommy” friends. Have a super Day.
